well it's not the hugest holiday in my house, but i still enjoy thanksgiving. my parents and i are going to a restaurant (with my friend, ida.) yes, a restaurant. no one wants to cook, no one wants to do dishes so every year we just go out to eat! usually to an indian place over on devon avenue (the little india of chicago) because no one over there cares about thanksgiving. but thanksgiving is all about tradition, right? well, this is our tradition. going out to eat. particularly, this year, we'll be sitting at a 'bar table' at 5:30 p.m., so my dad and i can watch football. also, i've already called not being the designated driver, so it's shaping up to be a wonderful thanksgiving for me.
i hope you too have a wonderful day with your family or friends or pets, or whomever you choose to spend your holiday with. with no mishaps and no injuries, because holidays, especially thanksgiving, are the biggest days for emergency rooms. (and if you're in retail and your boss made you work, i'm sorry, and if you want me to start an anti-shopping on thursday petition at your store, i will!)
have you seen why thanksgiving is one of the best days of the year? you should! i really like #4. i'm definitely going to be working on that one. and if nothing else gets you excited, at least you can stuff your face with leftovers when your family isn't around on friday, right?
really, it's the little things. enjoy your holiday!
