Nope, Not a Good Idea

ah monday night once again, and checking things off my to do list that seemed much more manageable and potentially enjoyable while i was a work.  now that i'm actually home... not so much.  i don't know why i always fall for my mind's sneaky tricks.  housework isn't the only thing either.  i'm constantly thinking something is a really great idea only to be let down minutes later.  and no matter how often this happens, i keep giving those things 1000 chances.  for example, take my (incomplete) list of things i always think are going to be much better than they actually are:

leftover chipotle.  or leftover taco bell.  or leftover mcdonalds mcflurries.  you get the idea.

tuesday at 2 a.m. and 'just one more episode.'

clothes from forever 21.

cutting hawkeye's nails by myself.

touristy places in chicago, particularly on the weekend.

pay per view wrestling that isn't wrestlemania or royal rumble.

shots.  really, any kind ever but especially the ones that you think you really want after 6 beers and that smell suspiciously like jameson.

high heels.

shots while wearing high heels.

high end mascaras.

jillian michaels workouts.

life updates on any of the teen moms.

new seasons of real world.

pretty much anything on mtv besides awkward.

and the project i took on yet again today that i thought would be easy and actually resulted in deleting a good 200 pins, organizing my pinterest.

just me?  i doubt it.  what's on your list?

  1. Shots while wearing high heels! Surprisingly enough, I'm such a master in my heels that I've never stumbled or fallen down in them while drunk.

  3. i am with you on all of this (well except forever 21 clothes) why do I always keep after it like it will change? it's so sad really.

  4. Funny yesterday I decided to delete several of my pinterest boards - mostly related to influenster/bzz/contests that I just didn't want there to clutter up my boards anymore.

  5. High end mascaras: never as good as I would hope. I keep trying them, thinking that they have to be amazing because they are $30 a tube. They are never amazing enough to justify $30+.

    1. Never! Everything I have tried works exactly the same for me as drugstore mascara, so what's the point?!

  6. Yeah I stick to the drugstore brand mascaras. Forever21 has been good to me so far. Shots are never a good idea, especially when you're already drinking. Yes to "one more episode" nights, and #girlcode is the only MTV show I watch.

  8. A 3 o'clock bar or journeying to the East Side (strip clubs) after 3 o'clock bars close - they always seem like a good idea but as soon as you get there you realize how drunk you are and just want to go home.

    1. It takes forever! I don't know why they don't let you select more than one at at time!

  10. I didn't even know real world was still on!! I do like the challenges because the old school guys on it are hot! High heels and shots are not a good combo!

  11. I attempted to cut Nala's nails by myself once...it did not end well. I pay for someone else to do it now. haha

  13. I feel like such a goob if I wear F21 clothing. Like I am desperately trying to hang onto my youth.... I have a few items in my closet and everytime I reach for one..... I start to convulse. (jk...)

But you will NEVER catch me dead in mom jeans and kitty cat sweaters. I ain't THAT old.

  14. i feel the same with clothes from F21. they look so cute on the website but when i actually go to the store and have a closer look; the quality is shit and will probably come apart after 2 washes.

  15. I wish there was an easier way to organize pinterest! You should be able to edit them like iphone pictures... be able to select more than one and delete or move them.... as opposed to having to edit them one. at. a. time.....

  16. I've spent the past few months deleting stuff on pinterest. Editing one at a time takes FOREVER.

I loved the RW like a lifeline. I was sad when I stopped feeling that way.

  17. Haha!!! I agree with so many things on this list. The Real World used to be so good in college. I can't watch it anymore.

  18. "Just one more episode"! So true.

I still watch the Real World...

  19. Organizing my blog tags and deleting some, I start but then lose interest when it becomes actual work.

  20. Haha I love this list. Yes to all of the above!! (Actually I probably should go through my Pinterest & delete shit that doesn't link, I don't care about, or outfits I can't afford...)

  21. I don't understand how people can eat leftover burritos. Warm sour cream, ick. Putting off ironing til Monday night sounds like a great idea until Monday night rolls around. Same with "Oh, I'll just do ALL my laundry in one day and get it over with." Yeah, that is a marathon laundry session I could go without. This post was a great idea.

  25. Absolutely organizing my Pinterest. HOURS have been spent on this and it was awful!

  26. Yes!! Everything about this list. Pinterest overwhelms me to go back and try and organize. And Real World has gone to the dogs. I used to love that show, maybe it means I've grown up a little.

  27. I've been trying to stay away from Forever 21 because whenever I go in there I ALWAYS leave with something. Sometimes their prices are hard to resist but I keep trying to avoid it at all costs!

  28. Wearing high heels--for real! It always seems like a good idea but rarely ever is.

  29. read this and then immediately thought: SHE NAILED IT.

  32. I am sooooo with you on the leftover Chipotle and Taco Bell. NEVER EVER will I do that again in my life. Once, twice, never again. Never tried a mcflurry. . . but my boyfriend does it with milkshakes all the time, which I've always found strange.
