Three on Thursday

Welcome back to Three on Thursday, my weekly even though I sometimes skip weeks list of things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks, you can find those here.

1. Bath and Body Works Candle Sale.  One of the responses in the survey I posted last Friday requested that I let you know what my favorite scents are of those currently available.  Here's what I recommend (and actually have myself, I just went to the outlet store in Kenosha, Wisconsin with my mom last weekend and got them): Waikiki Beach Coconut - John loves coconut scents but I'm sensitive to them because I hate if it's too strong and fake smelling, and this one is a really nice balance.  Not too overpowering but your home will smell like summer, and this one scents our entire first floor.  On the flip side, Toasted Coconut was way too strong and fake smelling for me; Georgia Peach - an always favorite.  I love peach scents, all my favorites have some form of peach and I always get this one when it's available.  Peach Bellini is also available right now, but it's not on sale;  Mango Dragonfruit - if you're not totally a peach person but still love fruity scents, this one is perfect for you; Fresh Cut Lilacs - This is the best floral scent option, though I'm biased because I love lilacs.  It's not too overwhelming, but still smells like there's a lilac bush right outside.  On the opposite end, Honeysuckle Bouquet is a no go, it's way too floral and fake and smells like straight perfume.  Hope that helps!  Also, I'll try to keep up with my recommendations on these as the seasons change or sales happen.

2. Minny's Chocolate PieThe exact recipe talked about and used in The Help.  Swoon.

3. Plunger Measuring Cups.  Simplicity = one device for your measurement needs.  If you're going to be baking chocolate pie, might as well have the right tools, right?  You just change the level to get the right measurement, plus the plunger aspect means you get the exact right amount with sticky ingredients like peanut butter or honey.  Such a great little gadget.

Happy Thursday!
