Three on Thursday

Welcome back to Three on Thursday, my weekly even though I sometimes skip weeks list of things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks, you can find those here.

1. Amazon Wish ListsI love Amazon wish lists.  First of all, you can add anything you want on Amazon, of course.  But then you can also add anything from other sites around the internet, make your list public, and share it via e-mail.  I keep mine up to date year round, and John loves having access to it.  He's able to get me things for holidays that I need or want without asking me and he has a whole list to pick from so it can still be a surprise.  His mom loves it too, she always asks John for the link before Christmas so she can get me something, and has now made one for herself.  I only wish he would make one himself, that would make Christmas much easier.  I recommend making yours now to get ready for the holidays.  Also helpful if you have kids and have grandparents and aunts asking 'but what does he need this year?'  I send gifts to my best friend's kid this way, because otherwise how the fuck am I supposed to know what a 2.5 year old I've never met in person wants for Christmas?  (They live in California.  Not that I would have likely met the kid even if she lived here, but that's my reasoning.)

2. Sage Cleansing Kit.  I decided I needed to take a page out of Steph's book and try cleansing my house with sage.  We keep having little things come up, like a plumbing issue and the air conditioner breaking (to be fair, we knew it was coming, it was 19 years old.)  I asked Steph about all the details regarding using sage bundles to cleanse a home and was going to stop by a shop and pick up all the supplies but then figured 'amazon's gotta have this, right?'  And of course, they did.  All bundled up nicely, with crystals included and an instruction manual.  Win!  I made Megan help me with this, so I don't know yet if it 'worked' but it made me feel better so that's something, right?  If you've been thinking about trying it, get the kit for sure.

3. Milk of Magnesia.  As deodorant.  Yep.  I don't even know how I stumbled upon this being a thing, but it is and it works.  Regular deodorant with aluminum is bad for you, I've mentioned this before, so I don't like to use it.  There's tons of options out there for homemade stuff but it always contains baking soda, which is very irritating to the skin, especially after long term use.  'Healthy' deodorants exist, but they are super expensive.  You can also use just straight lemon juice or vodka to kill the odor causing bacteria, but the milk of magnesia changes the pH balance of your underarm skin, making it difficult for the bacteria to even grow.  It works all day for me, super cheap, slightly messy to apply but just rinse your fingers after, no big deal!

Happy Thursday!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  You can also join me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.  In addition to minimalism and organizing, I love all things 'real life' so use the hashtag #notentirelyperfect on social media so I can see your beautifully unstaged life.  On the top of the side bar to your right, you can follow me on Bloglovin or subscribe via e-mail to be alerted to each new post.
