Three on Thursday - Weekly Favorites

Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

The Year of Less by Cait Flanders.  I preordered this book all the way back in July, so no shopping ban violation here.  Which is good, since Cait is the inspiration for a shopping ban in the first place and all.  I've followed Cait's blog for a long time, so I jumped right on the bandwagon when she said she was writing a book.  I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, even if it did talk about a lot of things she had already blogged about.  But the book (which I read in a day, by the way) has so much more information and stories that she had never shared before.  I'll have more of a review on it in two weeks when I link up with Steph and Jana for Show Us Your Books, if you're interested.  For now, just know that I definitely recommend it highly.

CB's Nuts Organic Pumpkin Seeds.  I love roasting my own pumpkin seeds in October but when it's not easy to get your hands on a pumpkin, I'm glad there's premade seeds to the rescue.  These are delicious, and no weird ingredients.  Just the pumpkin seeds and a little bit of sea salt.  Fits my clean eating goals, so I'm happy!  Yes, they're pricey (Amazon's price is about the same as Whole Foods, but I do watch for sales), organic always is - and yes, the organic tastes better and fresher than other kinds, trust me.  So they're a treat, not an every day purchase, but a much healthier alternative to something like potato chips when you're craving salty, crunchy snacks.

New Phone.  Thank goodness for my parents, they are the best.  My old phone (which, annoyingly, was only like 3 years old, wtf, they should last longer than that for costing so damn much) just refused to hold a charge anymore.  I even had the battery changed once, which worked for awhile, but again it stopped working and would die on my commute from my house to work, which is barely 40 minutes.  So when my dad asked what I wanted for Christmas, a new phone was the first thing that came to mind.  I told him like, half a new phone, that would have been great, but they paid for the whole thing and I love them very, very much!  I cannot even tell you how much better it is.  I forgot how nice it is to not have it constantly plugged into a charger.  But even beyond that, the features are much improved.  In particular the camera, which is exciting.  More pictures of Hawkeye, all the time.  Hooray!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  You can also join me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.  In addition to minimalism and organizing, I love all things 'real life' so use the hashtag #notentirelyperfect on social media so I can see your beautifully unstaged life.  On the top of the side bar to your right, you can follow me on Bloglovin or subscribe via e-mail to be alerted to each new post.
