Three on Thursday - Weekly Favorites

Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

Dialect Map.  Audrey posted this to Instagram stories and of course I had to try it too.  You just answer 25 questions about how you say certain words or if you have any weird names or phrases for things.  If you haven't tried it yet, do it and let me know if it's accurate for you too.  I was cracking up at how accurate it was for me - it pegged me in Chicago exactly.  One question in particular (which I think you only get if they're trying to pinpoint you to Chicago, the questions vary) had me laughing - what do you call the rubber-soled shoes you use for exercise?  Well obviously the answer is gym shoes but apparently, no one else in the world outside of Chicago calls them this.  You call them sneakers or tennis shoes or trainers and that's just weird.  Gym shoes forever!

Crystal Deodorant I use all sorts of natural deodorants but nothing I have to pay an arm and a leg for.  I find that milk of magnesium works incredibly well and lately, this crystal deodorant has been even better and it's super inexpensive.  As long as you follow the directions (wet the stone and apply liberally to clean skin) then there's no smell at all.  I tested it fully last weekend when I walked around downtown in the Chicago sun for miles and miles with Betsy.  No smell!  It doesn't smell like anything, so if you're looking to smell like lavender and vanilla, this isn't for you.  It's just... nothing.  But it works and that's what I care about.  Just one of these will last me a year, it still doesn't look like I've touched it and it's been over a month of daily use.  Highly recommend if you're looking to get away from the toxic stuff that's in antiperspirant.

Brandless Coconut Water Body Butter First of all, if you don't know what Brandless is - everything is $3 because the idea is that you're not getting upcharged to have a brand name on the label.  Works for me as long as the products are good!  And they are.  Specifically, this body butter.  I do want to make my own body butter but I haven't quite mastered it yet in terms of not feeling greasy for 2 hours after application.  So I've been using this while I experiment.  It smells really nice and clean and doesn't leave any sort of weird film or grease on the skin.  But it still moisturizes.  If you've never used Brandless, use this link to get $9 off your first purchase of $39 or more.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  You can also join me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.  In addition to minimalism and organizing, I love all things 'real life' so use the hashtag #notentirelyperfect on social media so I can see your beautifully unstaged life.  On the top of the side bar to your right, you can follow me on Bloglovin or subscribe via e-mail to be alerted to each new post.
