Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

ONE.

Ebates.  If you're not signed up yet, you absolutely must before your Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping.  It's pretty easy how it works, you just go to Ebates and click through from there to the store you want to shop at.  You get a percentage cash back of your total purchase price, which is paid out quarterly.  So it's literally free money.  And it can be used with any cash back credit cards you already have, so it's a double win.  I think what I love most is the sheer number of stores that are on there, including Amazon.  When you use my link to sign up, you also get $10 as soon as you make purchases totaling at least $25.  I can explain it better if you have any questions, but I think most of you know what it is by now.  Just wanted to remind everyone that every penny matters so don't forget to make use of this site this weekend!

TWO.

From My Bowl Vegan Cookbook.  Caitlin is a vegan YouTuber and blogger who shares all sorts of recipes.  I've made plenty that I've seen on her channel, because she makes it very easy to follow and nothing is difficult or full of crazy ingredients.  My friend Ida just got me her e-book for my birthday and I love it.  The photos are beautiful and almost every recipe is something I would make.  I highly recommend it.  She also has sales often, so check back this weekend to see if she's offering it for even less.  If you want to start vegan cooking or if you just don't like complicated cooking, I highly recommend Caitlin's book and channel!

THREE.

Birthday Freebies.  Seriously just about everywhere will give you free stuff for your birthday if you sign up for their e-mail lists.  I use a spam yahoo account for this, which I only check at birthday time.  There's so many free food ones, so I sign up for everything that's in Chicago - Jersey Mike's (free sub!), Au Bon Pain, Qboba, Corner Bakery, Potbelly's, Chili's, Starbucks, etc.  Sometimes I use the coffee ones but otherwise I give the stuff away.  I know small town people aren't accustomed to this but city dwellers know what I mean - there's a lot of homeless people, unfortunately.  Since it's cold at my birthday time, they are very appreciative of warm drinks and food.  Especially if they are right outside the restaurant, because then they can go in and get warm while they eat.  So I collect as much of the freebies as possible and give them away.  I don't say this to pat myself on the back (I do enough bad things to negate my good karma here, not to worry) but to express to people how much you can help someone in a day if you just collect these free things.  It costs you nothing, especially if you use an extra e-mail address.  So sign up, at least one month before your birthday usually.  There's tons of lists on the internet that tell you all the free things you can get, if you need help figuring out what's in your area.

Happy Thanksgiving, American friends!
