Three on Thursday - Weekly Favorites

Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

ONE.

First Aid Beauty Concealer.  I really like First Aid Beauty skincare products, so when they released their concealer, I decided to I wanted to try it when I finished up my Laura Mercier one.  It ended up becoming my new favorite.  It's really lightweight and hydrating, so it doesn't look cakey or emphasize lines.  Surprisingly though, it still has great coverage.  Usually it doesn't work that way, I can only get one or the other.  I find that a little goes a long way, making it very affordable per use, and it's blended best using my fingers.  It lasts all day, which I know because it was among the last makeup standing on my face after the 12+ hours of bar crawling we did a couple weekends ago.  Shade range is lacking, but if you find a shade that matches you, I recommend picking it up.

TWO.

Glass Decanter.  We've had one for awhile, but haven't actually used it to put liquor or wine into until now.  John just got an old bottle of Johnny Walker Blue from his mom's boss.  Except it was stored standing up, and you have to store any whiskey (and wine, obviously) with corks on their sides, otherwise the corks dry out and then crumble into the liquor when you try to open it.  Which is exactly what happened.  So we used strainers to get all the cork out, and then decided to put it into our decanter instead of back into the bottle with no cork.  It's so pretty!  John swears it tastes better but who actually knows.  What I do know is that it looks great and it's so much easier to serve.  I'm glad we have it because it serves as useful decor, my favorite thing.

THREE.

Tweezerman Tweezers.  They really are better than anything else.  I mostly leave my eyebrows alone because they really don't grow very much.  But occasionally a hair will grow way outside the lines and I need to tweeze it, and Tweezerman is the only way to go.  I know, I know.  It's like a $20 something tweezer and yes, it's much more expensive than other ones but drugstore tweezers are just not as sharp to begin with and on top of that don't last nearly as long.  You'll save yourself money in the long run if you just bite the bullet and spend the money on these now.
