Three on Thursday

Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

Costco.  John's parents gifted us a Costco membership for Christmas.  I'm familiar with Costco because I've been mooching off my friend Ida's membership for two years.  I just never wanted to pay the money for our own membership.  But what a great gift!  Although we don't buy a ton of things, it's still been worth it for the things we do buy and the quality is great.  Things we buy at Costco that are awesome and the best price: paper towels, toilet paper, vinegar, trash bags, John's razors, beer, vodka, allergy medication, laundry and dishwasher detergents, and a bunch of snack type foods John loves, like peanut butter pretzels.  So far.  If you have any recommendations, let me know.

Epilator.  Not for the faint of heart, you have been warned.  But so easy once you get used to it.  An epilator is a hair removal tool, it's basically a bunch of spinning tweezers.  You run it along your leg and it pulls the hair out from the root.  So yes, the first time you do it, it's brutal.  But it truly does get better each time (I don't say that lightly because I feel like everyone told me that same lie about waxing but waxing hurts just the same every single time) because the hair gets thinner.  Like waxing, it only needs to be done irregularly - I'd say I only do it once every 2 weeks in the summer, less in winter?  I highly recommend a model like this one that you can use in the shower, because it does hurt less when used with water.  Although it's pricey up front (there are models at all price points though), it charges so it'll last many, many years and therefore save you money in the long run - no razors, blades, shaving cream, wax, etc.

Aerie Socks.  I replace my socks about every 2 years.  I feel like my toes are always cold, so even in the summer, I wear socks every day while I'm at home.  I've tried some Target ones but I never love them, so I just stick with Aerie ones now, the ankle ones.  They hold up well to daily wear and are super comfortable.  The 'sporty' version is a little more padded and the 'shortie' version is thin enough to not cause extra bulk in any boots that wear (since I have wide feet as it is, I hate too thick socks inside boots.)  And they go on sale pretty darn often, so I like the price.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  You can also join me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.  In addition to minimalism and organizing, I love all things 'real life' so use the hashtag #notentirelyperfect on social media so I can see your beautifully unstaged life.  On the top of the side bar to your right, you can follow me on Bloglovin or subscribe via e-mail to be alerted to each new post.
