Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

ONE.

Glass Nail Shiner.  I've been using a glass nail buffer (or 'shiner' they call them) over nail polish lately.  I love polish but I'm trying to transition away from it since it is still not totally environmentally friendly, at the end of the day.  At the moment, I've settled on painting my nails every other week, instead of every week, and I plan on building that up.  On the off weeks, I've been using a nail buffer instead.  Just buff and shine, to get glossy looking nails without any polish or top coat.  I love the way they end up looking, and it's a lot faster than painting, I tell you what.  You're probably familiar with the foam blocks that function similarly, but the glass version is a more sustainable option.  I'm not sure I'll ever have to replace it!

TWO.

Reusable Produce Bags.  When I go to the grocery, I don't mind having stuff loose in the cart, even if it's 3 carrots by themselves.  I just put them on the conveyor belt at the same time and it never causes the cashier any issues.  John is not so okay with this method though (even though he's fine with it at a farmer's market?!), which is why I'm glad we have reusable produce bags for him to use.  They're mesh bags so the cashier can see through them but don't add any more weight than the traditional plastic bags they have next to the produce stands.  That plastic is so wasteful, and this method is just as simple but without the waste.  They work for bulk bins too, I've used them for bulk nuts.  Win.

THREE.

Eric and Beth on House Hunters!  John's little brother, Eric, and his fiance, Beth, filmed their episode of House Hunters what feels like forever ago and now it finally aired last night.  If you didn't see it, you can watch it online.  John and I aren't in it, but his parents are.  I don't know, in case you were wondering what our family is like.  This is us in Vegas years ago (4?) and he literally had just started dating her a month before and I didn't want to be their Vegas third wheel (I assure you, I would have been chopped liver) so I made her come with encouraged him to invite her.  And now they own a house and get married in just a few weeks! Eric is a total brat in the beginning but hey, he’s the baby. And yes, when he says ‘my brother is 4 blocks away from my parents,’ he means us.
