Three on Thursday

Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

Veronica Mars on Hulu.  In case you're unaware, Veronica Mars is one of my all time favorite shows.  It had 3 seasons from 2004-2007, a movie in 2014, two books and now a new season 4 that just aired in July on Hulu and I am thrilled.  Since, of course, that means Hulu picked up all the old episodes and the movie.  Obviously I had to binge watch from the beginning for the 17th time.  I love the 8 episode 4th season, which, by the way, coincides with the plots of the books.  Thank goodness, because I hate when things don't align.  Veronica Mars fans, if you haven't watched yet, you need to.  And then demand more, because that's what we do.  A long time ago, we used to be friends...

Fresh, New Towels.  Actually, this isn't the first time these towels have made the Three on Thursday list!  We got brand new towels from my mom when we moved in and we loved and used them to death.  I don't know what the usual life cycle of towels is, but John is particularly rough on them and also we had crazy flooding in our back room (hence the new deck) and the basement (hence the new floor), so I think these got used more than bath towels typically should be - we had to keep soaking up rain water, washing, drying, repeat, seemingly endlessly.  I am so glad that's over, it went on for like a year.  Anyway, Macy's always has their linen sale in the summer so I decided to jump on that and just get us some fresh towels, in a pretty light gray color.  I ended up getting the exact same brand because I know how well they've worked for us over the last 3 years (and honestly, could have lasted much longer, even with the overuse, I just wanted a change.)  Nothing like fluffy new towels.  The old ones have been donated to our local animal shelter, along with a giant Costco container of bleach - things shelters always need.  If you can get these on some sort of sale, I really recommend them.  Clearly.

Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize.  I much prefer cream eyeshadow on a day to day basis.  Because you can swipe one color on with your finger and be done with it.  No brushes, blending, primer, etc.  I was using the Laura Mercier shadow sticks, which I do love but I don't love the plastic tube packaging I was wasting.  I decided to look for something in more sustainable packaging and landed on this item from Charlotte Tilbury.  It is pricey, as all her products are, but there are a TON of uses in this one little pot.  As long as you keep the lid on tight, it'll last a long time.  It stays on well for me throughout the work day, and doesn't crease too bad.  When it does, I just smooth it back into place with my finger.  I'm sure it would stay better with primer but that's an extra step I'm not into.
