5 Favorite Christmas Movies

I feel really put on the spot any time I have to commit to a 5 favorite anything.  I can always name tons of things I like in a given category, but when you have to narrow it down to a true top 5, it becomes really difficult.  And every year, we start watching Christmas movies and end up debating over texts with family what the ultimate top 5 are.  Suffice it to say, my list is the winner, of course.  I've thought long and hard about this, and I stand by my picks:

1. Die Hard.  Honestly, there is no other Christmas movie to me.  Okay fine, yes, I have 4 after this but Die Hard is holy grail and you cannot tell me otherwise.  It's just not Christmas until Hans Gruber falls off Nakatomi Plaza.

2. Home Alone.  Year after year, this remains a classic for me.  I'm able to watch it over and over, which is how I determine a lot of my top 5 (unpopular opinion - watching Elf once was more than enough for me.)

3. Home Alone 2.  John actually prefers Home Alone 2 over the original, but I like original just a bit more.  But both are loved.  "Get down on your knees and tell me you love me!"

4. The Santa Clause.  There are times I love Tim Allen and times I can't stand him (Galaxy Quest comes to mind), but this is definitely one of those movies that I love him in and can watch over and over.  The sequels are okay, I didn't hate the second one, but the first is the real classic.

5. Gremlins.  Um, yes, gremlins is a Christmas movie, look it up.  I have a soft spot for Gremlins for some reason, and it always ends up on my list over any other more traditional Christmas movie.

Your turn to be put on the spot - what are your 5 favorite Christmas movies, ranked in order?  Tell me in the comments.
