Planning 2020 - My 20 Goals for 2020

Happy New Year's Eve Eve and last post of 2019.  Only fitting that it should be all about planning my 2020.  Anyone else ready for it?  This is the final year of my 101 in 1001 list, it ends just at the end of 2020.  One of the goals was set as 'reserved for 2020' so that I could change things up and add another goal that would be related to the new year.  As I did in 2019 (with 19 goals added), I decided that I'll be adding 20 more goals for 2020.  Here's what I came up with:

  1. Start a 'Witch Wednesdays' podcast with Tara.  We have plans to do this starting Wednesday, and we're psyched about it.  So check back for all the info on our podcast on all things witchcraft.
  2. Get a new kitchen trash can.  Since I put this on the list early, I got it for Christmas from John.  It's not set up yet though, so I'm excited to fully clean out the kitchen and get it situated.
  3. Rescue my Facebook photos.  I haven't had an active facebook account in a decade, and I have no intentions of going back to it.  However, I have photos on there from college that I'd like to rescue, if they're still there.  So I have to figure out how to log in, download everything, and then permanently delete the account.
  4. Ban non-workout related ponytails for a month.  I rely on ponytails way too much.  I'm committing to a whole month of doing my hair and not just throwing it in a ponytail.  No exceptions, except for working out.
  5. Complete another fitness challenge with Tara.  We do this a couple times each year.  It's good motivation. We're eyeing March.
  6. Visit Alarmist Brewery and Albany Place Kitchen and Bar.  They opened near our house and I still haven't been.  I really want to go to both, when the weather is nice.
  7. Create a 'Legacy Drawer.'  This is where you gather all important documents like wills and powers of attorney and also gather all account numbers, log in information, and passwords.  The place your heirs can go when you die and find all the info they need, so they don't need to be worrying about all of that on top of being sad that you died.
  8. Play the other side of mini-golf at Novelty Golf.  The mini golf place by us has two separate paths you can play on, and we did one.  I want to do the other side.
  9. Find a new cause to volunteer for and donate to.  I want to give back more, so I want to find something that speaks to me.
  10. Visit John at his new firehouse, with baked goods.  John switched firehouses and Hawkeye and I still haven't been to the new one.
  11. Complete Project3000.  I started that this year, where I plan to get rid of 3,000 items.  I'm over halfway - in fact, 2/3 of the way done - and I want to finish.
  12. Get or plan for new couch.  Another one I put on the list early and we got one!  I decided not to change or add another goal though, since this one was expensive.  We capitalized on a Black Friday sale and we absolutely love it.
  13. Stick to one planner for a full year.  I have a habit of starting new planners all the time because I love when I find a new great one and can't wait.  But I started one in September and it's working well so I want to stick to it all the way through August.  I also got the PowerSheets goal planner and want to stick with that all year too.
  14. Get the next Invisalign tray.  I've had the same 4 for a long time, and haven't been back to the orthodontist to get the next one because I have to regularly wear the latest one in order to be able to move up.  Well, I haven't been, for awhile....
  15. Create a new 101 in 1001 list.  My 101 in 1001 list ends at the end of 2020, so I want to make a 4th list to start in 2021.
  16. Post monthly 'what I read' posts to the blog.  I was going to set a 'read more' goal of some sort, and I figured this is the best way to do it.  I don't need to hit a certain number of books, I just have to do the link up every month.  That way, I'll push myself to read more and report back on it.
  17. Have at least 20 'no spend' days every month.  I think I can manage this but I don't know it'll be easy.  I love no spend days, they really do keep me mindful of my spending and impulse purchases, but 20 is 2/3 of the month so it's still a challenge.
  18. Celebrate every sabbat.  Sabbats are the pagan seasonal holidays and there are 8 in the year.  I'd like to do something to recognize each one, besides just recording a podcast episode about them.
  19. Use the treadmill 3x per week.  We have the treadmill in our spare room and I feel like something that takes up that much space needs to earn it's keep and be used.  So I plan on using it 3 times every week in 2020.  Except the week we're in Disney of course, but that's like a whole exercise plan of it's own anyway, all the walking!
  20. Save 75% of my income.  This one is the biggest stretch.  I would love to be able to save this much in a year though!  I set out my annual budget and if I stick to it, I will save $75,000.
Have you made any 2020 plans?  Any resolutions you'll be committing to at midnight?
