Three on Thursday - Top 3 of 2019

The last one of the year! Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

I always like to end the year by looking back over all my three on Thursday recommendations for the full year and picking the top 3.  Here's what I picked for this year:

ONE.

White Noise Machine.  I haven't gone one day without using this since I got it.  Even the dog can't sleep without now.  No really, if I'm not in bed yet, she stands in the doorway to the bedroom and stares at me until I follow her.  Not because she wants me to go to sleep too, but because she wants me to turn the sound machine on.  That's how much we both love it.  It really packs a punch for being so small, which is fantastic.  We had it jacked all the way up during the 4th of July fireworks, which didn't completely negate the noise but did help a ton.  It cancels out all the little city noises, including the neighbors dogs, so we sleep like babies once we turn it on.  And I can't even express how much I love that it's just fan noise and not some sort of recorded sound that has a loop, like a lot of white noise machines.  Highly recommend.  The original post was here.

TWO.

Threads of Fate Oracle Deck.  I've used this almost every day since I got it, so it's one level below the white noise machine but still just as much of a favorite.  It's such a beautiful deck and I feel like I use things more when they're pretty to look at.  (Mine is the shadow color option.)  I also think this deck has a lot of energy and I get really accurate readings from it.  I mostly use it as picking a card for the day, every morning.  To give me an idea of what the day is going to look like, what I need to work on or be prepared for it, and it's always accurate.  I also use it around the sabbats (the 8 witch holidays in the year) to get an idea of what the time period until the next holiday will look like.  To me, oracle decks are easier to read than tarot, so I prefer this set over any other.  The original post was here.

THREE.

Vegan Mac and CheeseThis is at least the 3rd time I'm talking about this mac and cheese on the blog and I've made it like 17 times this year.  No shame.  It's delicious every time and tastes so close to traditional mac and cheese, it's amazing.  I promise you, I never think that.  Vegan cheese or cheese tasting recipes usually suck.  This does not.  It's incredibly easy to make too, which is key for me.  Not easier than dumping the contents of a box and cooking that, but the same as if you made dairy mac and cheese from scratch.  Honestly, peeling the veggies is the hardest part.  It's also much healthier than traditional mac and cheese, so I highly recommend you try this one if you're looking to go more plant based with your diet.  Or even if you're not - everyone likes this recipe.  The original post was here.

Happy almost new year!  What were some of your favorites from 2019?
