Three on Thursday

Welcome back to Three on Thursday, a weekly list of three things I'm loving at the moment that I think you should do, try, or buy.  If you're interested in past weeks and more recommendations, you can find those here.  If you make your own Three on Thursday list, please share it in the comments so I can check it out.

Easy Hot Cross Buns.  The next sabbat, Ostara, is coming.  It's very much like Easter, with a lot of the same correspondences since Christian holidays borrowed heavily from pagan traditions.  So hot cross buns are associated with the holiday, though the cross imagery has nothing to do with Jesus.  Regardless of your religious associations though, they taste delicious.  And this is the absolute easiest way to make them.

Naturally Dyed Eggs.  Like Easter, dyed eggs are associated with Ostara as well.  But I really dislike egg dyes you buy from the store.  Those colors just are not natural, so how good can it be to touch and breathe that in?  Plus then you can't eat the eggs, which seems so, so wasteful to me.  Instead, try dying eggs naturally.  Look how pretty these look, using only other kitchen ingredients.

Bird Feeder.  Birds are also a typical symbol of the holiday, so why not attract more birds to your yard?  They're easy to hang and fill and end up attracting all kinds of birds, which is fun.  Nice to give back to nature a little.  We have a squirrel proof one but I still scatter tons of seeds around for them too when I fill it.
